Activate Your Account

You will receive an activation email in order to activate your account.

  1. Click Activate Account, or use the provided link.


  1. Enter your details on the Account Activation form that is displayed. Depending on who created your account, you may need to enter the Organization Key as well. You will get this from your organization's Administrator. Yourhost I.T. Crew does not know the Organization Key.


  1. Once all details are populated, click Activate Account. You are logged into the Site.



  • My Vault: Where you store your personal credentials and passwords. No one else has access to this area but the logged in user.
  • Company Vault: Any passwords added for the company to be shared are found here.
  • Settings: Configure two-factor authentication (2FA) and other options.

Folders

  • Folders can be created in your My Vault area to help better manage and organize passwords.

Passwords

  • Whether you are in My Vault or the Company Vault, this is where your passwords will be listed for viewing and editing.
  • My Vault passwords are only visible to you.
  • Company Vault passwords are visible for everyone in the company.

Input your Passwords

Now you are ready to enter in your passwords.

To create a new password:

  1. Navigate to the My Vault or Company Vault screen.
  2. Select the target folder if required.
  3. Select New at the top of the dashboard, or click the +New Password button.
  4. Select Password.



  1. Enter the username and password details in the appropriate fields.
  2. Select Credential Type, which designates the broad classification of the kind of credentials (i.e. Router, Domain Administrator, SQL Server). Create the Credential Type if required by clicking the + icon.
  3. Enter the URL if required. The Link icon will launch the URL allowing you to confirm it is correct.
  4. Notes are used to store additional information associated with the credentials such as login instructions, serial numbers, alternate URLs and user notes. Enter these if required.
  5. Click Create to save the new password.


Cross-Browser Extension

Passportal has a fully native browser extension for Google Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and all Chromium-based browsers that enable users to easily access and manage their My Vault and Company Vault credentials.

Installing the extension


Google Chrome

To install the extension for Chrome: 

  1. Visit: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/category/extensions.
  2. Search the Chrome Web Store for N-able Passportal.
  3. Click Add to Chrome.

Mozilla Firefox

To install the extension for Firefox:

  1. Visit: https://addons.mozilla.org.
  2. Search the Firefox Add-ons for:N-able Passportal.
  3. Select the result for N-able Passportal.
  4. Click + Add to Firefox.

Microsoft Edge

To install the extension for Edge:

  1. Visit: https://www.microsoft.com/Store.
  2. Search the Microsoft Store for: N-able Passportal
  3. Select the result for N-able Passportal
  4. Click Get.

N-able Passportal has an app for iOS and android which enables users to easily access and manage their My Vault and Company Vault credentials from their devices
